A tree commemorates the marriage  of Prince Albert and Princess Alexandria in 1863. The plaque incorrectly states that the tree was planted on the 19th May 1863 to celebrate the Royal engagement. A general public holiday was proclaimed on the 19th May 1863 in Victoria to celebrate the marriage.
