A silver trowel with an engraved decoration, silver handle arm and carved bone handle commemorates the laying of the foundation stone of the new Wesleyan Church in 1865.
The trowel is in a locked wooden box, cathedral style with a glass front, and inside has pale blue velvet lining which is mounted on the north wall of the church.
