The Biddegal Commemorative Plaque acknowledges the Biddegal people as traditional people of the land. The Council also says sorry for the loss and grief caused by past actions which includes alienation from traditional lands, loss of language and culture and forced removal of children.

Hurstville City Council would like to acknowledge the Biddegal people as the traditional custodians of the land. Council would like to say sorry for the loss and grief held by Aboriginal people caused by past actions including alienation from traditional lands, loss of language and cultural practices and forced removal of children.
