Photographs supplied by Graeme Saunders

The Memorial Gates were originally erected at the former State School site to commemorate the town's golden jubilee celebrations in 1938.

Toora, on Corner Inlet, South Gippsland, will celebrate its golden jubilee during Easter week. The week's festivities include a fancy dress procession, sports, fire brigade demonstration, car trips to Gunyali forest, boat trips on Corner Inlet, and several social functions, also the unveiling of memorial gates at the State school. The band of the 42nd Battalion will supply the music for the festivities. All former residents are invited. Mr. D. Grosart is the hon. secretary, and will furnish any information desired.
