Red Cross Centenary Plaque

Commemoration of 100 years of International Red Cross  1859 - 1959

This plaque was originally placed, on the 3rd August 1959, on a tree guard for a Claret Ash planted near the entrance to the Greta Sports Ground.

Mrs Betty Saunders, a former president of the Great Red Cross, donated & planted the tree & Mrs. Stella Walking donated the plaque.
