The garden commemorates the service of guide dogs in the community.  It was officially opened to mark International Guide Dog Day in 2016.

The design represents a stylised dog collar, a circular green lawn with a pond and water feature to provide drinking water and white noise in this city space. A post rising from the pond features the name tags of guide dogs who have passed.

The signage, which is lit, reflects the journey of the guide dog team, “Six legs, one journey” in words and cut in with braille circles. The garden is full of plants of a sensory nature, chosen for their scents and the way the foliage sounds in the wind or the rain.
