Fuzzy Wuzzy Angels MemorialPrint Page
Memorial commemorates the contribution made by the "Fuzzy Wuzzy" angels during World War Two.
Many Australian soldiers who fought against the Japanese forces invading Papua New Guinea in World War Two owe their lives to "fuzzy wuzzy angels". They were local tribesmen who carried supplies and often wounded soldiers through the jungles of the Owen-Stanley ranges.
