ROYAL AUSTRALIAN AIR FORCE MEMORIAL

5 SQUADRON AND 100 SQUADRON

DEDICATED TO THE AIRMEN OF THESE AND OTHER UNITS OF THE ROYAL AUSTRALIAN AIR FORCE WHO SERVED AND WERE  STATIONED AT MAREEBA AIR FIELD DURING THE PERIOD 1942 - 1945.

THESE SQUADRONS AND ALL ASSOCIATED UNITS HELPED STEM THE JAPANESE ADVANCE. 

ERECTED BY THE ROYAL AUSTRALIAN AIR FORCE ASSOCIATION  CAIRNS BRANCH
