The monument commemorates the contribution of the 7th and 9th Divisions to the peace in 1945.  It was unveiled on the 50th anniversary of the encampment of the divisions in the Millstream Falls National Park during World War Two.

Front Inscription

During the Second World War 1939 - 1945 troops of the 7th Australian Division, including the 18th, 21st and 25th Brigades, and troops of the 9th Australian Division, including the 20th, 24th and 26th Brigades, were encamped in this area which is now the Millstream Falls National Park. 

This monument is erected on the 50th anniversary of the year of their encampment in recognition of their enormous contribution to final peace in 1945.
