The memorial commemorates those who served in World War Two in conflict and in non-combatant roles in the community. The memorial is a flagpole on a brick platform enclosed by a low brick wall with two Australia Remembers plaques.

"Australia Remembers, 1945 - 1995" was a program of activities organised by the Federal Government to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of World War Two.
