The monument commemorates those who served in World War Two.

Facing north-west the solid cement obelisk is set in the centre of three stepped cement base leading up to the memorial. A diamond shaped path surrounds the memorial with triangular gardens and flag poles at opposite ends. Two sides of the gardens are bounded with a chained fence.
