Australia Remembers Place commemorates the men and women of the southern suburbs of Brisbane who served at home and abroad during World War Two. 

"Australia Remembers, 1945-1995" was a program of activities organised by the Federal Government to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of World War Two.

They shall grow not old as we that are left grow old ;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning
We will remember them  

This place is dedicated on the 50th anniversary of the end of the Second World War to commemorate the contribution and sacrifice of residents of  the Southern Suburbs of Brisbane both at home and abroad.
