The honour roll consisting of two large wooden boards commemorate those from the district who served in World War One.

WINTON. September 17. The unveiling of the honor board in the Shire Hall last night was an event that must not be overlooked. A good crowd attended, considering the very short notice given, the ceremony being a simple one. Mr McMaster, as chairman of the Shire Council, presided, speeches being delivered by him, also the Rev. A. A. Fellows and the Rev. J. J. Wilson. Mrs. McMaster unveiled the boards, one being covered with the Union Jack and the other by the Commonwealth flag. On these were inscribed 680 names of those who had enlisted from the district.
