The honour roll from the abandoned town of Mount Nicholas commemorates those who served in World War One.

On Saturday, October 5, the first roll of honour in the district was unveiled at the state school, Mount Nicholas. The roll, which would do credit to any municipality in Tasmania, is a splendid piece of workmanship made by Mr. Fulton, Launceston. It is of  polished blackwood, containing 28 names in gold leaf of those who volunteered from here or were employees of the Nicholas Co. when they enlisted.
Examiner (Launceston), 22nd October 1917.

Note: The “Tasmanian War Memorials Data Base”, compiled by Fred Thornett which is located at the State Library of Tasmania, contains a comprehensive listing of the names on this honour roll.
