Wooden honour board with carved flowers and wreath and metal attachments commemorates the members of the 16th Battalion who served in World War One.

A bronze plaque of the flag of the 16th Battalion now hangs in the Kalgoorlie municipal chambers. The plaque was presented by citizens of Kalgoorlie in honour of the 16th Battalion of the A.I.F., which recruited much of its strength from the Eastern Goldflelds during the Great War.
