The War Memorial commemorates those from the district who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

Originally erected to commemorate those who served in World War One, the memorial was unveiled on the 19th November 1922 by Colonel E. J. Parkes, D.S.O., M.A. The names of those who lost their lives in World War Two were placed on a tablet at the base of the memorial.

Additonal plaques have been placed at the memorial to commemorate later conflicts.
