The Walk of Honour commemorates the 64 Australians who received the Victoria Cross during the First World War, including Winchelsea’s Albert Jacka. Funding was received through the Anzac Centenary Grants Program. 

The Walk of Honour located near the Barwon River in Winchelsea, features plaques recognising the 64 VC recipients. The Victoria Cross is the highest award for acts of bravery in wartime.
