The Mildura Avenue of Honour was planted in 2005 to commemorate the community's fallen in all wars. On Sunday 14th August 2005, the Governor John Landy dedicated the Avenue at Henderson Park and took the salute of the march past led by the 8th/7th Batalion and Second World War veterans. The Avenue comprises of Sugar Gum trees (Eucalyptus cladocalyx) planted along Deakin Avenue.
