The Avenue of Honour commemorate those who have died in service or wre killed in action in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

On Sunday 14th August 2005, the Governor John Landy dedicated the Avenue at Henderson Park and took the salute of the march past led by the 8th/7th Batalion and Second World War veterans. The Avenue comprises of Sugar Gum trees (Eucalyptus cladocalyx) planted along Deakin Avenue.
