The arch commemorates those who have served in various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.  The arch is complemented by trees planted for individual service personnel in a walkway.

Each tree in this avenue represents the memory of a man who gave his life defending the freedom of his country during  World War II.  

As you rest on this seat may you take a moment to reflect with grateful pride the supreme sacrifice made by 90 men.
