The garden commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in whcih Australia has been involved.

The gardens received a grant of $4000 from the Department of Veterans Affairs ‘Saluting Their Service’ programme on 10 February 2010.  The purpose of the grant was to ‘Construct a memorial garden at Heatley State Primary School for the school community to use for commemorative services”.
