The Memorial Bowling Club was erected to commemorate those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved. The club features an "In Remembrance" arch at the entrance.

A Texas town and district Memorial Bowling Club has been formed. A day's play will be held next Sunday, April 19, with the object of stimulating interest in the club. The play will not mark the official opening of the club as a clubhouse has not yet been built, nor has the green yet been sufficiently 'worked up' for active competition. It is hoped, however, that Sunday will mark an access of interest by town and district bowling enthusiasts.
