The War Memorial commemorates those who died in service or were killed in action in World War One, World War Two, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

Funding was received in January 2022 through the Saluting Their Service Program to construct two statues at the memorial, one of an indigenous soldier and the other of a non-indigenous soldier.
