The monument commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

This replica of the original Nambour Cenotaph was dedicated on ANZAC Day 1993, and Navy, Army and Air Force insignia were added in 1995.

Memorial walls with display boards and murals were erected in 2015 beside the monument to commemorate those who died in service or were killed in action in World War One.  The funding of $12500 was provided as part of the Anzac Centenary Grants program.
