A monument commemorates those who died in service or were killed in action during World War Two and the Vietnam War.

When it was unveiled in September 1959 it contained a roll of honour listing 36 names of those from World War Two. Three additional names were added to the roll at a later date including the name of a serviceman who lost his life in the Vietnam War.
