The War Memorial commemorates those who served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

A meeting convened by the Caloundra Branch of the R.S.S.A.I.L.A. on the 31st March 1947 considered the matter for the erection of a soldiers' memorial. After considerable discussion it was decided to erect a granite obelisk on property on Wickham Point, granted to the local sub-branch by the Landsborough Shire Council. The cost of the obelisk will be £368 but with an appropriate enclosure the cost will be in the vicinity of £500.
