The monument commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

It consists of a plinth of polished granite from Eugowra set on a base of local blue limestone. The unveiling ceremony and dedication was held on 11 November 1992 on the 74th anniversary of the armistice that ended World War One.
