The monument commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.  It is a replica of the one located in the Somerset Cemetery.

The plaques near the memorial are dedicated to Mr Leon Domardadzki builder and donor of the Somerset cemetery war memorial and Allan John Robinson BEM for personal and financial contribution towards this war memorial.
