The Memorial Hall was erected to commemorate those who have served in conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

To handle the proposal for a memorial public hall at Ringarooma and further civic undertakings which might be desired, a progress association was formed at a public meeting at Ringarooma. Cr A. France presided. The warden (Mr J.J. Naylor) and Mr R. Wardlaw outlined conditions necessary to obtain a Government subsidy for a war memorial. It was unanimously decided to proceed with the erection of a suitable hall as a memorial.
