Kempton Memorial HallPrint Page
The hall was erected to commemorate those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
A committee of three councillors and the Council Clerk (Mr R. C. Raymond) was appointed to discuss with representatives of the Kempton War Memorial Committee plans for a municipal memorial at Kempton. It was stated that at a public meeting at Kempton some-time ago it was agreed some form of community centre, to include better hall facilities and a library, should form the memorial, but no finality was reached.
