The monument commemorates those who served in World War One and World War Two.

It contains the names of those who served from Perenjori, Caron and Bunjil Districts during both World Wars. The names of those who served are contained on plaques behind the memorial.

On ANZAC Day 2015 a bronze sculpture of the rising sun badge was unveiled.
