The War Memorial commemorates those who died in service or were killed in action in World War One, World War Two, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and the Malaya and Borneo conflicts.

Members of Merredin C.M.F. and R.A.A.F. units will parade at the official unveiling of the new Merredin War Memorial on ANZAC Day. The chairman of the Merredin War Memorial Committee (Mr. J. H. Kendall) will perform the unveiling.
