The Soldiers Memorial Arch Gates commemorate those who lost their lives in World War One and World War Two. The gates were originally erected to commemorate the fallen soldiers of World War One. A plaque containing the names of two brothers who fell in World War Two was added to the entrance gate on the 8th February 1946.
