The Memorial hall commemorates those who have served in conflicts in which Australia has been involved. It replaced the original hall which was destroyed by fire.

TOORA, Friday. — A new concrete-brick memorial hall at Welshpool, replacing the wooden building destroyed by fire 11 years ago, was opened today. Mr. W. McAuley M.L.C who opened the hall, praised the community spirit which overcame all obstacles, including wartime permit difficulties, material shortages and high costs. More than £1300 has been received in donations and £2300 subscribed in debentures.
Age (Melbourne), 7 November 1953.
