Surrey Hills War Memorial : 12-August-2012

Photographs supplied by Kent Watson / Graeme Saunders

The Shrine was originally erected in memory of those from the district who served in World War One. The Shrine is distinctive in its bungalow architectural design and for the beautifully sculptured Honour Roll carved by local resident John Kendrick Blogg.

An additional plaque was placed in the Shrine to commemorate later conflicts and new panels were added to the Honour Roll in 2018 as part of restoration works by the Council.
