The War Memorial commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved. The memorial was originally erected in memory of those from the district who served in World War One. The names of those who lost their lives in World War Two were added to the memorial at a later date.

An additional plaque was unveiled on 11th of November 2017 to commemorate those who served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars, the conflicts in Iraq and Afganistan, and the peacekeeping operation in East Timor.
