The Koroit Memorial Health Services was erected to commemorate those who served in World Wars One and Two. The original Koroit District Memorial Hospital was opened in 1955 and converted in 1994 to provide nursing home facilities and mental health services.
KOROIT, Sunday. More than 1,000 people saw the official opening of the Koroit Memorial Hospital yesterday by Mr. E. P. Cameron, Minister of Health. Sisters B. Jeffrey and B. Woodhouse unveiled the memorial stone. The hospital cost £130,000 of which £25,000 was subscribed locally.
