The War Memorial commemorates those from the district who died in service or were killed in action in World War One and World War Two. Additional plaques have been added to the memorial to commemorate the 50th anniversary of World War Two (1995) and 50 years of service to the community by the Katunga RSL branch and the ladies Auxiliary (2000). 

Monument Characteristics:
Memorial is a green painted concrete obelisk on a two stepped base with a steel flagpole in its centre.
