The memorial is a polished red granite column surmounted by an urn. Originally erected in 1921 as a memorial to the fallen of Diamond Creek , the memorial was rededicated in 1996 to commemorate Australian servicemen and women who have lost their lives in all wars and conflicts.

THIS MEMORIAL WAS REDEDICATED ON THE 6TH OCTOBER 1996 IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE ROTARY CLUB OF DIAMOND CREEK AND THE RETURNED AND SERVICES LEAGUE OF VICTORIA INC.

THIS PLAQUE IS TO COMMEMORATE THE LOSS OF LIVES IN ALL CONFLICTS SINCE THE GREAT WAR OF 1914 - 1918.
