The Dennington War Memorial was erected prior to 1924 to commemorate the men of the district who fought in World War One.  Mr Munro, who was Manager of Nestlè's Condensed Milk Factory at the time, was instrumental in establishing the Soldiers Memorial. The Register (Adelaide) 1st July 1924.

The memorial now honours all who served in World War Two and Vietnam.
