The Belmont War Memorial was originally erected to commemorate those who died or were killed in World War One. 

Two brick walls on either side of the memorial contain commemorative plaques erected in memory of the fallen of World War Two, Korea , Malaya , Indonesian Confrontation and Vietnam.
