The War Memorial commemorates those from Bamawm and District who died in service or were killed in action during World War One and World War Two.

It was originally erected to commemorate those who died in service or were killed in action in World War One with the names of those from World War Two added at a later date.

On the 11th November 1995, an additional plaque was added to commemorate those who served in Post World War Two conflicts.  A sundial has been placed on top of the memorial.
