Soldiers Memorial HallPrint Page
A hall commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved. The memorial hall was originally erected to commemorate those who served in World War One.
In the presence of a large attendance, Mr Angliss M.L.C. opened the new Soldiers Memorial hall at Balliang East on Saturday afternoon. The hall cost £800, of which £600 has already been subscribed by the public. At night the Werribee Pierrots gave a concert, and this in conjunction with an "American tea," realised £25 for the building fund.
