A monument commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

It was in 2001 that a decision was made to replace the original sandstone memorial erected in 1922 which had deteriorated and was regarded as unsafe.  The marble tablets on the present monument came from the original memorial.  The original sandstone blocks and columns have recently been found and consideration is being given to restoration of the 1922 memorial as part of a consolidated Woolgoolga Memorial Garden surrounding the Vietnam Memorial, an Iroquois UH1 helicopter.

A plaque commemorating those servicemen who served in Vietnam was added to the memorial in 2011.
