The War Memorial commemorates those who died in service or were killed in action in conflicts in which Australia has been involved.  A field gun was dedicated at the memorial on the 13th March 2001.

Monument characteristics :

Black granite wall structure surmounted by an Australian Military Forces badge which lists the names of those from the district who lost their lives in World War One. The memorial also lists the names of Red Cross Nurses who lost their lives in the conflict. The rear side has four silhouette figures (Navy, Army, Airforce, and Women`s services).
