The monument commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved. It consists of two Harcourt granite slabs, one at right angles to the other on a concrete base. 

In front of the monument is a plaque dedicated to Army Nurse, Christine McKechnie who served in World War One.
