The Indigenous Ex-Servicemen Monument is dedicated to all Aboriginal ex-servicemen from the district who served in World Wars One and Two.

The monument is a semi-circle area containing three stones. The centre stone contains individual plaques to two servicemen. The stone on the left contains an Australia Remembers Plaque while the stone on the right contains a list of indigenous servicemen who served in World War One and Two.

The Gwydir Family History Society Incorporated recognises the dedication of the Moree Aboriginal Corporation for Historical research in procuring a programme through the Moree Plains Shire Council for the restoration, identification and beautification of this final resting place for their people.

This project has been paart of the "Australia Remembers"  programme
