Monaghan Hayes PlacePrint Page
Monaghan Hayes Place commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved. It is named after Trooper Monaghan Hayes, who was the first Cooma resident to die during World War One. Monaghan Hayes was killed at Gallipoli in July 1915.
Within Monaghan Hayes Place there are several walls commemorating service personnel and units and in the vicinity are a number of cairns which have plaques attached to them.
