The swimming pool was erected in 1968 as a tribute to those who have served in defence of Australia.
The pool was heated in 1992 and the new swimming pool complex was officially opened in 2012.

OPENED ON 9th NOVEMBER, 1968 BY SIR WILLIAM YEO C.B.E. STATE PRESIDENT, RETURNED SERVICES LEAGUE N.S.W. BRANCH.
HEATING OF THIS WAR MEMORIAL SWIMMING POOL, COSTING $40,000 WAS FUNDED BY EQUAL CONTRIBUTIONS OF $20,000 PROVIDED BY THE BOMBALA RETURNED & SERVICES LEAGUE SUB-BRANCH & DEPARTMENT OF THE ARTS, SPORT, THE ENVIRONMENT, TOURISM AND TERRITORIES.
THE HEATED POOL WITH ASSOCIATED IMPROVEMENTS WAS COMMISSIONED BY THE BOMBALA RSL SUB-BRANCH PRESIDENT, JOCK JOHNSON & BOMBALA SHIRE COUNCIL PRESIDENT, JOHN BALDWIN ON 12TH MARCH 1992
