A monument commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved. The monument is the centrepiece of the RSL Commemorative Park and was erected as an Australia Remembers Project. 
 

"Australia Remembers, 1945-1995" was a program of activities organised by the Federal Government to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of World War Two.

And Women Who Served Their Countries In All Wars.

And To Those That Did Not Return They Will Never
Know The Beauty Of This Country, See The Seasons
Change, Enjoy Natures Chorus, All We Enjoy We Owe
To Them.

They Shall Not Grow Old, As We That Are Left Grow
Old.  Age Shall Not Weary Them, Nor The Years
Condemn, At The Going Down Of The Sun, And In The
Morning, We Will Remember Them.
